"Game of the year voting was hotly contested and very close. Just as with the best wargame of the year, it was a close contest. But interestingly, the voting followed best developer but without a tie. The result was the gold going to Take Command: 2nd Manassas, the silver going to Conquest of the Aegean, and the bronze going to Forge of Freedom: The American Civil War 1861-1865"
